The long and versatile career of actor Michael Caine has been recognized by the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA), which held in London demonstrate its twelfth edition. Caine, 76, received the Variety Award “for his darkfall gold, which has won two Oscars for the Academy Awards as Best Supporting Actor for Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), and Rules of the House of cider (1999).
Another British film star, Daniel Day-Lewis, 52, was awarded the Richard Harris Award “for his great contribution as a movie actor of his country. Day-Lewis, winner of two Oscars for best actor for There Will Be Blood (2008), and My Left Foot (1989), has promoted this weekend in London his latest film, Nine, which also serves the Spanish Penelope Cruz .
