Israeli aircraft bombed Gaza after Palestinian mortar launching.
Jerusalem, Aug. 18 .- Israeli warplanes bombing early this morning south of Gaza in retaliation for the release today by Palestinian militants for a mortar shell that caused minor injuries to two Israeli soldiers, the military said.
The attacks, which apparently caused no victims, were directed against smuggling tunnels and open spaces near the town of Khan Yunis, where the, aika gold, missiles were fired, said the military statement.
Two Israeli soldiers were slightly wounded today by a Palestinian mortar shell after the Israeli army killed an Islamic Jihad militant in a shootout on the border with Gaza.
